We had Chloe’s newborn photos taken, so it only seemed natural to have her first birthday photos taken as well. We loved our photographer so much that we booked her again for Chloe’s first birthday photos!
Since I planned on using a photo on Baby Jumper’s birthday invitation, Leeann and I agreed that it was best to take Chloe’s photos when she was around 11 months old. Otherwise, we would have scheduled her photos to be taken much closer to her actual birthday. Just as before, I cannot tell you how grateful I am for these photos. Each picture truly captures Chloe’s personality, and once again, Leeann was beyond patient with us. Chloe had a few meltdowns during her photoshoot, but Leeann was incredible — she even did a silly Mickey Mouse dance that absolutely cracked Chloe up. It made for some of the best pictures!
This time around, we went easy on the props.
– The lace romper was bought from Etsy Seller SummerInspirations, and the silver glitter headband was bought from Etsy seller Think Pink Bows.
– Her yellow ruffle dress is from Baby Gap. I bought it back in January, and it was meant to be her Easter dress. My kid is such a peanut that she still fits in the 6-12 month sizing, so we re-used her dress. I think it fit better now than it did back in April!
– I had the chalkboard poster made by Moulage Collection.
– We scheduled her photoshoot for late afternoon, knowing that she’d have a full belly and would be wide awake. Her nap schedule was disrupted that day, though, so she had a few meltdowns. This was completely unavoidable, but HOORAY for iPhones. I YouTubed a few of her favorite shows, cranked the volume up, and got Chloe to smile and dance. Leeann even got in the action, and did a silly Mickey Mouse dance!
This was truly a memorable experience, and we are beyond grateful to have these photos captured!
