You know I think less is more, but I also love details. Sometimes I’ll encourage a client to consider adding a bit of texture to their suite becuase I truly believe small details can make all the difference, especially in your invitation suite! What story are you trying to tell? Think about your guests opening the envelopes that contain the invitation to one of the most important days of your life – you want it to be an experience and a glimpse into what they can expect on your wedding day.
Some people think an invitation is just a piece of paper but I can tell you that is absolutely not the case. It’s the first impression they will have of your wedding day. It tells a story. It’s an heirloom, should reflect you as a couple and the event you are hosting for your wedding day. If you’re looking for a way to give your invitations a wow factor, Blush Paper Co has you covered!
1 | Wax Seals
Wax seals are hands down a wow-factor in and of themselves. With so many color and design options, the sky is the limit when it comes to choosing a seal. You can even make a custom seal to coordinate with your invitation suite which is what most of my clients opt to do. And with the addition of adhesive wax seals, rather than using the traditional wax melt, there are so many ways they can be used – on place cards, menus, and even on the invitation itself!
2 | Envelope Liners
By now you should know I am absolutely obsessed with envelope liners. Metallic, solid color, custom hand painted – I love them all. They really take envelopes to the next level. Maybe you want to keep the design of your suite simple but feel like something is missing to help it stand out the way you envisioned. Enter your new best friend, the envelope liner. You can inject some personality to your suite by including a printed envelope liner. Maybe we include a hand painted floral liner, a sketch of your wedding venue, a fun pattern or just a solid color. It’s a relatively small upgrade that can make a huge difference!
3 | Ribbon or Belly Band
Say hello to your new best friend. The average invitation suite comes with an invitation, details card, RSVP card with an envelope all inside the main envelope. Adding a ribbon or a belly band (a thin strip of paper wrapped around your suite to hold everything together) can ensure that your suite is held together. Add a wax seal on top of that ribbon and boom! You’ve just blown everyone away with your attention to detail.
