Nicole and Dante were married on New Years Eve in Pittsburgh. This chic NYE celebration lasted well into the night. The couple chose a black and white color palette to ring in the new year.
From Nicole:
When and how did you two meet? Feb 2018. I slide into Dante’s DMs and the rest is history! We technically went to rival high schools and we knew of each other but did not officially meet until 2018.
How did you get engaged? Were you surprised? Did you cry? Dante planned a surprise engagement/ party at Zone 28 where we had our first date. All of our friends and family were there!! I was completely surprised..so shocked I don’t think I changed my face the whole time Dante was down on one knee proposing. Lol
When and Where are you getting married? What made you decide on that time of year & location? We got married NYE at Heinz Chapel and The Oaklander Hotel. NYE has always been mine and Dante’s holiday. It was the holiday we took on as a couple when we first met! We have hosted multiple NYE parties and plan to keep the tradition going. As far as location, we just fell in love with Heinz Chapel and The Oaklander Hotel, specially the 10th floor of the hotel.
Now, tell me more! What inspired your vision? I always knew I wanted a classic and timeless black and white wedding. When my wheels started turning I was able to pass all my ideas to Matt Dailey, owner of The Dailey Collective. He really brought my vision to life.
What made your wedding unique? We had a late ceremony at Heinz Chapel. Our ceremony was at 7pm. Having the late ceremony gave us the opportunity to push our reception into the night and bring in the New Year! We partied until past 2am!
What was your favorite detail of the day? How do I pick just one?! The most meaningful detail of our day was the way we honored our loved ones who have passed.
What advice do you have for a newly engaged bride? Enjoy the ride! And make your wedding what you want it!
Anything that you’d do differently? Realized that you couldn’t have lived without on your wedding day? NOPE! It was perfect in our eyes!
