How did you get engaged?

August was my 30th birthday and Max had planned a birthday party for the books! Our closest friends and family had come in from all over to celebrate the big 3-0!. Max had planned a dinner on the second level of Sienna Mercato in Pittsburgh for all 35 guests. We drank champagne, ate all the delicious food and cut the birthday cake! Before we continued to celebrate and head to the rooftop, Max said he wanted to toast the birthday girl – so he asked everyone to take their seats once more.

Max started out the toast thanking everyone that came, continued to give a little speech about me and before you knew it – he stopped the toast abruptly and my friend Ashley tossed a box his way. I honestly cannot even remember what was said before Max got on his knee and asked me to marry him. After 7 years of dating, you would think I would have known this was coming – but I was completely surprised (to say the least). After sobbing hysterically with joy and saying yes in front of the entire restaurant and all of our loved ones – the night was now a birth-gagement party. Max had only told my dad, my best friend, and his sister-in-law that captured the night in her amazing photo skills! Everyone got to share in the surprise and they erupted with cheers and happy tears and the night continued to be celebrated until the sun came up at the Kimpton Hotel Monaco!

When and Where are you getting married? September 30, 2017 at Longue Vue Club

What made you decide on that time of year & location? We love the Fall & Longue Vue Club has such a romantic and cozy setting!

Describe your wedding in three words: Romantic, Intimate & Fun

Now, tell me more!  Theme? Colors? Must haves?  Our wedding has a neutral color palette, with an abundance of candlelight to make the mood right! It’s all about romance and being with everyone we love so much!

What’s your favorite source of wedding inspiration? (Blog, Magazine, etc.)? Instagram gives me tons of ideas.

What have you loved the most about planning your wedding? That I get to plan a huge party, with our closest family & friends, to celebrate Max & I becoming husband & wife. It’s the best!

What had been the most difficult about planning your wedding? Staying within my budget!

What are you most looking forward to on your wedding day, besides getting married?! Besides becoming Max’s wife, I would have to say the dance floor!! J

Are you taking a honeymoon? Where are you going?! Ciao Bella, Italy!

Why is marriage so important to you two? What are you most excited for or nervous about? We are taking vows to honor the meaning of our relationship to one another. It’s the beginning of a new chapter in our lives and we are simply excited to become husband and wife, with our friends and family by our side.

Do you have any advice for a newly engaged couple? Wedding planning at times can be stressful, but always think of the true reason behind it all.

What’s up next for you two?! After the “I Do’s” what exciting things do you have in store? To travel and enjoy our first year as husband & wife!
