Working with Bree and her mom was so much fun, and such a dream come true.   Bree’s vision for her invitation was a simple, classic design that truly stood out using her dress as her main focal point and inspiration.  She wanted lace incorporated into the design of her invitation along with rose gold foil, and I could not want to get started.  We discussed inspiration and specific design ideas — her dress was her main source of inspiration!  After looking at a few different design options, we decided to blind emboss the lace design to add texture and not overwhelm the overall design, as well as give a subtle nod to her dress.  This was one wedding invitation that was going up on the wall and not in the trash.

 

 

Modern Romantic Bridal Style

With Bree’s ultra romantic style and classic taste, I knew that her summer wedding at the Fox Chapel Golf Club would truly be one of a kind.  But when I saw the wedding day come to life with all of the beautiful details orchestrated by Bree and her mom, photographed by Leeann Marie Photography, obsessed is not too strong of a word.

To start, I cannot get over the lace detailing in Bree’s dress from Ann Barge.  Her dress set the stage for this sweet-summer soiree and was the inspiration behind her wedding invitations after all!  The intricate detailing and bead-work are simply stunning.  The lush flowers, from Sapphire and Lace, completed the soft, summery rose gold and blush look.

Warm Florals & Tons of Texture

The lush bouquets and floral displays by Sapphire & Lace Design enhanced the vibe, incorporating lots of blooms in blush, white, and mauve which included peonies, astilbe and fresh greenery.  And wait until you see their wedding cake — it’s a true work of art!

Pretty Paper Details

The invitation suite was designed to mimic the sweet, lace details of Bree’s Anne Barge wedding dress.  Lace details cascaded across the formal invitation and details card.  I paired a I paired a clean, modern serif typeface with a gorgeous script that highlighted their names.  We printed on luxe 100% cotton paper stock. For an extra special detail,  and to highlight their names, we foiled the bride and grooms names in rose gold foil.  This invitation design has gotten so much love and inspired many other designs for future brides!
