Happy Monday!  I hope everyone had a fabulous and relaxing weekend.  We’ve been in our new house for about six months, and are finally starting to make a dent on the decorating and remodeling aspects of it.  We’ve definitely been taking it slow and steady, because we want to be purchasing meaningful and long-lasting pieces (aka we aren’t buying IKEA furniture anymore…!) and are really settling into our groove here.

I’ve always wanted a peaceful master bedroom, but our last house had a very small room and it never really inspired me.  Our new room is spacious with plenty of windows, and it makes me feel refreshed and energized every day.  We’ve always wanted a king bed and after searching for months, we bought one!  It shipped faster than expected, so we had to hurry and buy a mattress — and I cannot wait until that baby is delivered so I can sleep on a little pillow!

This will be our first real room that we are doing in the new house.  Our kitchen was on the list first, but the bed shipping quicker than anticipated shifted this project to the front of the line!
