Friends, let me tell you:  trying to have your family photos can be taken is the hot mess express.  My kids are completely distracted and don’t want to cooperate.  If I’m being fair, it’s mostly Charlotte, who had just turned two.  She had no interest in sitting still, keeping her clothes on, or looking at the camera.  It made for some of the funniest photos, though, and the best memories.  I think back and laugh, and I have no idea how Jenni captured some of these incredible pictures.  I have no regrets, though, and I would encourage anyone with children to have their family pictures taken.

My favorite place in Pittsburgh to get photos taken is Mellon Park.  We’ve had Chloe’s first birthday pictures taken there along with our maternity photos, so there was no question we’d go back for our family portraits this fall.
