I can’t tell you how excited I was when my brother-in-law and his fiance asked me to design their wedding stationery! Family can sometimes be the biggest critic, and they certainly don’t hold back… so I was even happier when Julie, my future sister-in-law, was over the moon excited about their custom invitation suite.
We started by designing their save-the-date. Their engagement pictures were taken this past summer by local photographer Jennifer Detar, and I think they turned out incredible! I especially love the black and white photographs, and Alex & Julie chose their favorite black and white photograph to showcase on their save the date card.
Using their wedding colors of teal and silver, we combined an elegant script with their monogram & a custom calendar at the bottom with their wedding date circled.
Then, we turned our attention towards their custom wedding suite. Julie wanted something simple but elegant, and wanted to incorporate a flourish design in the corners her 5×7 invitation. After reviewing several different invitation suite possibilities, Alex and Julie decided on a pocketfold option.
