OK, so these may not be the most glamorous pair of shoes you’ve ever seen…

But who else remembers their first pair of Chucks? Was this just an emo thing?

My first pair were so disgusting and ratty that my mom threw them out. I bought another pair when I was a freshman in college, and the shoelaces are so dirty they’re grey. It never dawned on my to even wash them. Are you supposed to? Also, my friends & I doodled all over the soles of the shoes. They’re close to 10 years old now, and I broke them out last winter when we vacationed in Florida. They were just as comfortable as I remember them 🙂

They’re like a walking time capsule.

Anyone else have a pair shoes they won’t give up?
