HOORAY! You’re engaged! But… now what? Well, first, you should set a date. Secure a location. Then start brainstorming creative ideas — what kind of flowers do you want? What style and color bridesmaid dresses? Shop for your wedding dress, and pick our wedding bands. Oh, and pick out wedding invitations!
Wedding invitations, sadly, are often put on the back burner when it comes to planning a wedding. Most brides don’t realize the amount of time and thought that goes into the design and printing process. If you’re ordering out of a catalog, it may not take very long for your invitations to arrive and ready to be assembled. But what if you’re looking for a personalized or a completely custom piece? How long does the process take, and how expensive can it be?
Through this one week series, we’ll explore the components of wedding stationery, discuss the time table for a domestic wedding, and review the do’s and don’ts of your invitations.
Ready? Let’s get started!
To begin, we’ll review the what’s and the when’s.
