It’s hard to believe that our little peanut is five months old already, but she is. In fact, she’s a lot closer to six months now! In the last few weeks, she’s grown leaps and bounds and is so much more independent than she was even a month ago. She’s sitting up on her own and starting to crawl. Time is moving at warp speed and I wish it would slow down. She has so many preferences now and it’s amazing watching her personality emerge. She has a strong preference for certain toys over others, and it’s incredible how different her choices are over her sisters – even when it comes to food!
Sophie is a must-have for us. Miss Charlotte is teething and Sophie goes everywhere with us. I simply cannot leave the house without Sophie because she’s always with Charlotte. Chloe, on the other hand, didn’t care for Sophie at all!
Jacques the Peacock was actually Chloe’s first toy. This is my go-to baby shower gift. We used to clip this on our pack n play & Chloe would stare and kick at him for hours and hours. Charlotte was no different, and both kids *love* Jacques in the car seat. He goes every where with us and is Charlotte’s side kick. He’s a must-have.
My mom got us the Mamas & Papas Baby Snug and Activity Tray as a Christmas gift and I have to say, it’s AMAZING. I didn’t think we’d need or want another seat like this in the house, but I quickly ditched the bumbo in favor of this seat. It’s much sturdier so Charlotte sits up so much better in it, and the attached tray keeps her occupied. The toys come out of the tray so it’s easy to clean & the flower makes a great teething toy. We haven’t even broken out the high chair yet because she prefer sitting in this chair to eat. This gets two thumbs up from us!
January and February have been rough months for us. Charlotte got her second cold and it turned into RSV. The nose aspirator bulb simply wasn’t cutting it, so I bought the NoseFrida on recommendation and now I wonder why we didn’t have one with our oldest. It’s absolutely amazing and really gets the job done – which is exactly what you need (and want!) when your baby is sick. My three year old even let us use it on her which is a pretty impressive feat.
Today’s high is -2 and I had to make another trip back to the pediatrician (I swear they have a room reserved for us!), and I rely on our fleece bunting to keep the baby nice and warm in the car seat.
